Executive coaching

What is coaching ?
To coach a person, a team or an organisation is to support them so that they find, by themselves, the answers to the questions they are asking and the issues they face.
Coaching thus enables theimprovement of professional effectiveness and thesupport of complex professional periods such as: difficult projects, times of crisis, mergers, acquisitions, transitions, transfers, promotions, conflicts, expatriation, repatriation, career changes, and returns from maternity or parental leave.
The coach acts as a catalyst. They support the coachee without being interventionist. In that they differ from the consultant, who brings advice and solutions, and from the therapist, who is more concerned with looking for causes.
Every coaching engagement is different, and how it will work is agreed with the coachee at the first session.
Here are some of the issues we meet in our work:
- Adapting to complex situations
- Professional transitions: taking up a post, transfer, career choices, expatriation, repatriation, reorganisation, merger, acquisition
- Developing autonomy
- Improving performance
- Complex decision-making
- Time management — work/life balance
- Building self-esteem
- Developing leadership
- Using intuition
- Managing with your emotions
- Distress at work
- Burnout
- Workplace conflict
- Women’s careers
- Working across cultures
The stages of your coaching
1. Choosing your coach
You choose your coach among those proposed to you, at a first introductory session.
2. Setting up the three-way agreement
A session between you, your coach and your line manager. Together you agree the objectives of the coaching and the indicators attached to them. A three-way coaching agreement is drawn up afterwards.
3. The sessions
They are held every two to three weeks. They take place outside the company, somewhere agreed with your coach, or remotely by phone if needed.
4. Three-way closing meeting
A post-coaching debrief is held between you, your line manager and your coach.
